Chemfoam® - Special Purpose Pour Foams

Description
A range of specially formulated rigid foam systems for use in specific industrial applications.  Each foam system is designed to meet critical properties of the application such as low temperature or high temperature resistance, resistance to thermal shock, dimensional stability, halogen-free non-corrosive properties etc.

Uses
Low-Temperature Applications

  • Cold Water Storage & Commercial Refrigeration – provides optimal thermal and physical performance at temperatures down to -20°C
  • Domestic Appliance - provides optimal thermal and physical performance at temperatures down to -20°C.  Formulated with superior foam flow properties, resulting in consistent foam density and excellent fill of thin wall refrigerator carcases and coolers
  • Low Temperature Storage & Pipe Insulation - provides optimal thermal & physical performance at temperatures down to -100°C
  • Ultra Low Temperature Storage & Pipe Insulation - provides optimal thermal and physical performance at temperatures down to -196°C.  These halogen-free systems have been designed to withstand the rigours of LNG plant installations where resistance to extreme stress, thermal shock and fire are critical requirements

High Temperature Applications

  • Hot Water Storage - provides optimal thermal and physical performance at temperatures up to 100°C.  Formulated with superior foam flow properties, resulting in consistent foam density and excellent fill of thin wall cavities typical in modern hot water service design
  • High Temperature Process Facilities - provides optimal thermal and physical performance at temperatures up to 140°C, typically experienced in chemical plant and super heated steam installations

Features

  • Designed for processing through low or high pressure plural component dispensing equipment
  • Densities from 23 kg/m³ to over 100 kg/m³
  • Available in standard polyurethane, fire retarded polyurethane or polyisocyanurate grades
  • Excellent adhesion to a variety of substrates
  • Application specific reaction profiles, high yield & superior foam flow characteristics
  • Formulated with the environment in mind
    - zero ODP/zero GWP/zero VOC systems
    - zero ODP/low GWP/zero VOC systems
    - zero ODP/zero GWP cyclo/iso pentane systems
  • High thermal insulation, dimensional stability & physical properties
