Chemfoam® - Insulated Panel Foams

Description
A range of specially formulated rigid foam systems and adhesives used in the manufacture of insulated construction panels.
There are two main Chemfoam® product types in use:
Insulated Panel Injection Foams – where a rigid insulating foam system is injected between and moulded onto, an inner and outer skin.  The skins are typically protective or decorative facing materials such as pre-painted or galvanised steel, fibrocement sheet, magnesium oxide board, plywood sheet, fibreglass tissue or thin polymeric/metallic foils.
EPS Insulated Panel Adhesives – where rigid polyurethane foam is applied as a thin adhesive film between EPS (expanded polystyrene) sheet and a protective facing material such as pre-painted or galvanised steel, fibrocement sheet, magnesium oxide board or plywood sheet.

Uses
Insulated Panel Injection Foams

  • Production of structural wall, roof and flooring panels used in commercial construction and domestic housing
  • Panels are produced in a discontinuous process in purpose built mould presses
  • Offers exceptional insulation R-Values of R-1.2 to 1.3 per 25mm of foam thickness, flexibility in design, modular design, high structural integrity, cyclonic resistance, good fire resistance and rapid assembly

EPS Insulated Panel Adhesives

  • Production of non-structural wall and roofing panels typically used in cold store and other commercial construction
  • Panels are produced in a discontinuous or semi-continuous process
  • Offers good insulation R-Values of R-0.7 to 0.9 per 25mm of foam thickness, good wind resistance and rapid assembly

Features

  • Injection foams are designed for processing through low or high pressure plural component dispensing equipment
  • EPS adhesives are designed for hand application or preferably by semi-continuous “Drip-&-Scrub” panel lamination equipment
  • Densities from 23 kg/m³ to 80 kg/m³
  • Available in fire retarded polyurethane or polyisocyanurate grades
  • Excellent adhesion to a variety of facing materials
  • Application specific reaction profiles, superior foam flow characteristics & rapid cure
  • Formulated with the environment in mind
    -   zero ODP/zero GWP/zero VOC systems
    -   zero ODP/low GWP/zero VOC systems
    -   zero ODP/zero GWP cyclo/iso pentane systems
  • High thermal insulation, dimensional stability & physical properties
  • Maintains high insulation properties – does not compress over time
  • As with all of our products, systems can be specifically formulated to suit your requirements and process
