Chemfoam® - Foamed Elastomers

Description
High density foamed elastomer systems having high tear strength, excellent resilience and high resistance to compression set.
These systems are well suited for the production of Foam-in-Place bead seals and gaskets on automotive, electrical and construction related components.
For ease & accuracy of lay-down these products are designed to be applied using robotic application equipment.

Uses

• Production of moulded seals on automotive and industrial air filters.
• Weatherproof and IP Rated seals on electrical enclosures
• Production of door seals and any other component requiring a soft but strong weather proof gasket

Features

• Densities from 200 kg/m³ to 600 kg/m³
• Formulated with the environment in mind - zero ODP/zero GWP
• Available in standard or fire retarded grades
• Excellent resilience & bead forming properties
• High tear strength, chemical resistance and adhesion to substrate
• Fast cure and short demould times
• Offer excellent “non-crush” properties, reducing cycle time & costs
• Formulations employ low fogging and low free amine chemistry
