Chempol™ - Bonded Rubber & Soft-Fall Binders

Description
Single-pack, moisture-curing polyurethane adhesives used as flexible binders in seamless, soft-fall surfacing systems for rubber shred & granule.  Mixtures of rubber and binder are used in the on-site manufacture of Soft-Fall playground systems, walking paths and sports surfaces.
Soft-Fall systems are a composite design consisting of a 50 to 100mm thick layer of “shock-pad” (a porous, highly compressible layer of rubber shred bound together with Chempol Binder) topped with a 10 to 15mm layer of “top coat” (a porous, flexible layer of rubber chip bound together with Chempol Binder).
The composite system provides excellent impact dissipation, reducing the likely hood of injury through use or falls.
Rubbers used in these systems include recycled tyre, EPDM, TPU and TPE.

Uses

  • Production of Soft-Fall playground areas offering hard wearing, safe play areas for children that reduce the likelihood of injury while playing
  • Installation of low fatigue, non-slip pathways, paving, flooring and mat systems in parks & gardens, golf courses and in industrial applications
  • Free-draining, non-slip surrounds for wet play areas & swimming pools
  • Pour-In-Place mating for soil erosion resistance of embankments
