Chemfoam® - Block Foams
Description
Designed for the discontinuous production of large rigid foam blocks which after curing, can be cut into sheets of various thicknesses, or profile cut into specialised shapes. Available in low, medium and high densities, Chemfoam® block foam systems are designed to provide low exotherm, slow reactivity and even density throughout the block.
Uses
Low & Medium Density Block Foams
- Sheet insulation board for the construction industry
- Sheet or profile cut to shape as marine core foam, insulation & buoyancy foam
- Profile cut to form half-pipe sections for use as pipe insulation
- Cut to form decorative architectural profiles, cornices, 3D-signage etc, or free-form sculpted to produce theme park backgrounds, dioramas and novelty items
- Bonded to other materials to form rigid insulation panels
- GRP encapsulated to produce lightweight, high strength composite construction panels and components
- Specialised open-cell foam systems are also available for use in the floristry industry
High Density Block Foams
- Cut into sheet or profiled shapes to form structural members in the marine and construction industries
Features
- Designed for discontinuous batch processing or using low or high pressure plural component dispensing equipment
- Densities from 23 kg/m³ to over 350 kg/m³
- Available in standard polyurethane, fire retarded polyurethane or polyisocyanurate grades
- Both closed and open cell rigid systems are available
- Extended cream time, low exotherm, high yield & superior foam flow characteristics, producing homogeneous cell structure and physical properties
- Formulated with the environment in mind:
- zero ODP/zero GWP/zero VOC systems
- zero ODP/low GWP/zero VOC systems
- zero ODP/zero GWP cyclo/iso pentane systems
- low ODP/low GWP/zero VOC systems
- High thermal insulation, dimensional stability & physical properties
- Maintains high insulation properties – does not compress over time
- As with all of our products, systems can be specifically formulated to suit your requirements and process
